青木真也（AOKI Shinya）
1983年5月9日、静岡県出身。小学生より柔道を始め、めきめきと頭角を現す。2002年、全日本ジュニア強化選手に選抜される。寝技、固技を得意とし、早稲田大学に進学後、ブラジリアン柔術を始める。パラエストラ東京に所属し、総合格闘技にも参戦。2003年、DEEPのフューチャーキングトーナメントで優勝。翌2004年、DEEPウェルター級トーナメントに抜擢されプロデビュー。2005年1月、プロ修斗にデビュー。2006年2月、デビューからわずか1年、5戦目にして修斗第8代世界ミドル級王者となる。同年8月、PRIDEに参戦。世界の強豪達を倒し、日本を代表する総合格闘家の一人となった。2008年3月、DREAMの旗揚げに参戦し、ライト級GPで準優勝。2009年10月、ヨアキム・ハンセンを下して第2代DREAMライト級王者となる。2010年7月、川尻達也を倒し王座初防衛。2011年4月米国Strikeforceマットでライル ・ビアボームをチョークで秒殺。9月にはDREAMでロブ・マックローを撃破した。世界との対戦を考慮し2011年よりシンガポールのジムEVOLVEでも練習を開始。日本が誇る世界屈指の強豪である。
